About me!

Hi! My name’s Ava, and I’m an artist from right outside Philly, looking to expand my portfolio.

Currently, I am studying as a senior at Savannah College of Art and Design in Dynamic Illustration for Publication. I love a good funky, bright, and fun style. It seems to follow me in all aspects of my life, even my phsyical spaces and fashion choices! As an artist and as a person, I’d say the work that comes most from the heart is the work thats brightest, busiest, and most expressive.

I am a mixed media girl through and through! All types of mediums go into one piece — a traditional artist in my core, but also not afraid of digital workflows and enhancements if need be. My most common practices would be a combination of acrylics, colored pencils, paint pens, markers, ballpoint pens, and other miscellaneous materials. Texture snd collage is also a big part of my workflow! I spend lots of time cutting up and reusing everything I can get my hands on.

Some of my favorite things include sewing and fashion, cooking, playing my guitar and singing karaoke, and most of all, my kitty, Ms. Chugs. She is my muse and best friend, and has inspired me to begin drawing pet portraits! All of the things I love inspire my work in some way or another, and I think that is something every artist can relate to.
